Hi Greg,

Good post bro, and yes, isn't it cool that Microsoft's Account Lockout Tool is so helpful.

By the way, speaking of free AD tools, I run a community blog on Free Active Directory Reporting Tools and I thought I'd share it with you.

Feel free to stop by and check it out - perhaps you'll find a tool that you may not know of, or you might find that there's a tool that I've yet to cover (in which case just let me know.)

Just trying to help, so appreciate the support.

Thanks,
Marc

G'day Paul,

It seemed that the solution with the Acer machine was to update the driver for the NIC. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the update on this machine before it was decommisioned and its owner got a new machine. I still have the HP 1100, I'll see if I can get it to throw the TKIP error on the WESM again, and see if a driver update sorts it out

Cheers,

Greg

Hi Greg.

Did you ever find a solution to your machine that was causing a MIC check failure, other than disabling them from the wireless network.
We have two laptops here that are causing us the same problem with a HP WESM
